Yvonne began designing for dolls when she was five years old She designed and sewed her own clothing during high school, producing innovative fashions that won her an Illinois art scholarship upon graduation. Relocating to California a few years later, in the 1940’s she and a designer friend formed Shea Goltry Designs. Yvonne was recruited to work for Ivan Fredricks, and offered a designer partnership.

Having a child in the 1950’s while married to Roberto Della Rossa, the women’s couture design company Della Rossa Boutique was formed. Her designs were soon recognized in movies and in corporate circles in New York, Paris, and London. Yvonne’s California fashions were reviewed and acclaimed in news fashion journals and circles. At the height of her career in the 1960’s, she took a hiatus, re-affirmed her Christian faith, and successfully raised her new twins.

During the 1970’s Yvonne designed and produced custom clothing for friends and family members, including contemporary clothing, wedding gowns and celebrity identity dolls. In the 1980’s, she purchased a design table, a new pair of scissors, some wools, silks and linen, rented a shop and began designing market lines of contemporary knits and high couture silks and linens for seasonal shows. She successfully launched Yvonne Della Rossa Designs.

1995 - Present Researched manufacturing and production requirements, marketing techniques and schedules. Her mannequins have been awarded designer doll ribbons and trophies. Yvonne consulted the creation of her artist site http://yvonnedellarossa.com.

1992 - 1995 Developed and produced prototype designer fashion mannequins in scale sizes. The concept for the designer fashion mannequins as a fashion accessory will be to custom design clothing and accessories for each individual mannequin style. Editorial reviews have appraised Yvonne’s designer fashion mannequins in a $1,500 - $2,500 range.

1984 - 1992 Began Yvonne Della Rossa Designs, designing high fashion clothing for women. Received multiple orders from major women’s clothing outlets, including the Forgotten Women in New York.

1970 - 1984 Designed custom clothing for friends and family members, including contemporary casual wear for youth, beach wear, and custom wedding gowns. Produced and marketed her Celebrity Satin Doll. Raised twins in a Christian assembly.

1940 - 1970 Successfully launched Della Rossa Boutique in the 1950’s, and marketed her acclaimed designs throughout the U.S. and Europe. Prior to Della Rossa Boutique, she was a successful designer with Ivan Fredericks. Yvonne left Shea Goltry in the 1940’s to join Ivan Fredericks. She married soon afterwards, and instituted a successful couture women’s clothing label.
